Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By creating an account or using CiStars (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you're creating an account on behalf of a company, you confirm you have the authority to bind that company to these terms.

CiStars is operated by Stanislav Liakhouchyk, an individual based in Poland.

2. What CiStars is

CiStars lets you upload your company's documents and get AI-generated answers to questions about them, with links back to the source document. You can share access with your team through a chat link and, depending on the plan, connect additional channels (such as Telegram) or import documents from third-party sources (such as Google Drive).

3. Your account and responsibilities

  • You must provide accurate information when signing up
  • You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure
  • You're responsible for the content of documents you upload — including making sure you have the right to upload them, and not including sensitive personal data about individuals (see our Privacy Policy, Section 3)
  • You're responsible for managing who has access to your CiStars workspace and chat link

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use CiStars to:

  • Upload content you don't have the right to share
  • Upload sensitive personal data about identifiable individuals (such as salaries, health information, national ID numbers, or personal contracts) — CiStars is designed for general company knowledge (policies, procedures, product information, and similar), not records containing sensitive personal data
  • Upload malicious files or attempt to interfere with the Service's operation
  • Use the Service to build a competing product by systematically extracting its underlying technology
  • Violate any applicable law

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

5. Plans, limits, and billing

  • CiStars is currently offered free during the pilot period. Pricing for paid plans will be introduced separately and communicated in advance.
  • Each plan has limits (number of documents, file size, storage, monthly questions) as described in your account dashboard.
  • Paid subscriptions are billed through Lemon Squeezy, our payment provider, who acts as the merchant of record. Their terms apply to the payment transaction itself.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled. You can cancel anytime from your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • If you're not satisfied, you can request a full refund within 14 days of a charge, no questions asked. Contact us at lstanislav1924@gmail.com to request one.

6. Service availability

We aim to keep CiStars available and reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service depends on third-party providers (including Google's AI infrastructure and Dify), and outages on their end may affect CiStars.

7. Intellectual property

  • You retain all rights to the documents you upload.
  • We retain all rights to the CiStars software, design, and branding.
  • By uploading documents, you grant us a limited license to process them solely to provide the Service to you (indexing, generating answers, storage).

8. Disclaimers

CiStars generates answers using AI based on the documents you provide. While we design the Service to answer only from your documents and to cite sources, AI-generated answers can occasionally be incomplete or imprecise. You're responsible for verifying important answers against the cited source before relying on them for decisions.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CiStars and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

10. Termination

You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, or discontinue the Service with reasonable notice.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email or through the product before they take effect.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Poland, without regard to conflict of law principles.
